ZAURBEK GUGKAEV
Conductor
Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania
Zaurbek Gugkaev was born in Vladikavkaz. In 2004 he graduated from the Vladikavkaz College of Arts, and in 2011 - from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, where he studied in the class of opera and symphony conducting with Professor Leonid Korchmar.
He has worked with various St. Petersburg orchestras, including the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of St. Petersburg, the orchestras of the Chapel and the Children's Philharmonic; he has also performed with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus and other ensembles. As a conductor, he takes part in concerts of the St. Petersburg House of Music within the framework of the projects "Young Performers of Russia" and "Music of the Stars". From 2010 to 2015 – Chief Conductor of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Philharmonic in the Caucasian Mineral Waters (now the Safonov North Caucasus State Philharmonic).
At the Mariinsky Theatre, Gugkaev conducts operas of classical European (Mozart's The Wedding of Figaro and The Magic Flute, Rossini's The Barber of Seville) and Russian repertoire (Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin and Iolanta, Rimsky-Korsakov's The Golden Cockerel), as well as symphonic concerts. Under his direction, a number of premieres of the Mariinsky Theater have been held in recent seasons, including: "Idiot" by Weinberg, "Cossacks" by Klinichev, "The Story of Kai and Gerda" by Banevich (2016), "Diary of Anne Frank" by Fried, "Notes of a Madman" by Butsko, "Not Only Love" by Shchedrin (2017).
Zaurbek Gugkaev also conducts concert performances of operas in the subscriptions of the Academy of Young Singers and performs on the stage of the Vladikavkaz branch of the theater.

Gatin Ruzil (tenor)
Graduated from the State Institute of Theater Arts (GITIS), in 2012 — vocal faculty of the Kazan State Conservatory named after N. Zhiganov.
In 2017, he improved at the Russian Academy in Pesaro (Italy).
In 2018, he made his debut at the Bolshoi Theater in the role of Count Liebenskoff ("Journey to Reims" by J. Rossini).
