Fyodor Ivanovich Chaliapin is a great chamber and opera singer, brilliantly combining unique vocal abilities with acting skills. His total repertoire consists of seventy opera parts and about four hundred romances and songs. He possessed a rare gift of reincarnation, which allowed him to create vivid stage images, distinguished by vital truth and strength, and are the standard for performers to this day. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian artist and our festival "Basy-Chaliapin Gala" is dedicated to this significant event.
