Chinese Culture Days

 The North Caucasus State Philharmonic Society named after V.I. Safonov. V.I.Safonov invites listeners to get acquainted with Chinese musical culture. On November 11, a unique concert program will be presented to your attention by the Academic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of chief conductor Nikolay Shugaev and the most prominent representatives of the musical art of the People's Republic of China:
  XiaoSu Du - composer, member of the Communist Party, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Musicians Association, Chairman of the Nanjing Music Association, Deputy Director General of the Jiangsu Provincial Creative Research and Development Center. 
  Chen Shu - Winner of international competitions, Chairman of the Milan International Violin and Cello Competition, Visiting Professor of Tainan University of the Arts.

Jun Liu - Artistic Director of the Jiangsu Symphony Orchestra, Concertmaster of cello groups, Secretary General of the China Symphonic Music Development Foundation, Member of the Chinese Musicians Association, Director of the China Symphonic Music Alliance; Director of the Jiangsu Musicians Association, Director of the Labor Committee, Director of the China String Music Association, Director of the China Cello Society, President of the Jiangsu Cello Society.
   The concert program will include XiaoSu Du's symphonic poem "Colorful Spring", L. van Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 "Pastoral", and Max Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1. Chen Shu (violin) will perform as soloist. The conductor is Nikolai Shugaev, a laureate of international competitions.
It should be noted that this is the first time that an event of such international significance will be held in the Caucasian Mineral Waters, and it will undoubtedly become an important milestone in the history of the region's culture and a great gift for the resort's residents and guests.
