"Romance with romance"

Romances, their drama and sadness, embodied in words and music, always find a response from a sensitive soul. Among the fans of the genre we will find Pushkin, Tolstoy, Kuprin, Leonid Andreev. Among the performers - Lyalya Chernaya, Varya Panina, Anastasia Vyaltseva - this is just the beginning of an endless list of great voices of Russian romance. Alexander Vertinsky and Vadim Kozin, Alyosha Dmitrievich and Pyotr Leshchenko applied their talent to his fame. The people of the golden twentieth century listened to romances, poets of the silver age wrote poems for him, he was called a counter-revolutionary "gypsy" and banned after the revolution, he was forgiven during the war, and he returned to Russian culture in the late 1950s.
