In the world of music, Andrei Petrov has firmly established the fame of a modern classic. He is the author of operas and ballets, symphonic works and instrumental concerts, music for films and theatrical performances, songs and light music. The premiere of each major work of the composer became a significant event in the cultural life of the country. Half a century ago, the premiere of Andrei Petrov's ballet "The Creation of the World" took place at the Kirov, now the Mariinsky, Theater in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg. "Music is not only a reflection of the world, it is, if you want, the creation of the world – every time a new one," Andrei Petrov once remarked. Each concert of the Creation of Music program, which includes symphonic works by the composer "Kolokolnaya Rus", "Radda and Loiko", "The Master and Margarita", suites from the ballet "Creation of the World" and others, as well as songs, romances and melodies from movies, will confirm and affirm this thesis.
