For four centuries now, opera has held the hearts and thoughts of millions of people, for three hundred years, at the first sounds of the orchestra in the auditorium, there is that special atmosphere of uplift, excitement, conviviality that invariably accompanies an opera performance. This feeling of elation equates everyone - both connoisseurs of vocal art and unprepared listeners. However, the secret of stage influence on the mass was not available to every composer. It was owned only by genuine musical playwrights — such as M. Glinka, V.A. Mozart, J. Verdi, J. Bizet, M. Mussorgsky, P. Tchaikovsky, A. Borodin, N. Rimsky-Korsakov. Moreover, the undisputed recognition of the audience was received only by those of their works where the brightness of the images was combined with the special expediency of musical and scenic techniques, which helped the listener to penetrate the composer's idea.
