"The Bride from Imereti" is a sparkling musical comedy created by the authors of the famous "Khanuma" composer Gia Cancelli, poet Boris Ratser and playwright Vladimir Konstantinov based on the story of David Kladiashvili "Stepmother Samanishvilli". The corporate identity, so beloved by the audience for many years in the sparkling comedy "Khanume", was continued in the story of the marriage of Bekin, a widower of 70 years. As the famous proverb says, "Gray hair in the beard is a devil in the rib," but Bekin's adult children do not like such fantasies of the venerable pope. Love is love, but, as everyone knows, children appear in marriage and the inheritance will have to be divided equally. And the house, and the garden, and even the cow! The solution has been found – to find a bride yourself, but it is necessary to marry the father to a woman who does not have, and cannot have children. They find incredible "candidates" and even arrange a kidnapping, according to ancient Georgian customs. But life cannot be outwitted! After all, no matter how hard you try, the truth will always be on the side of love.
Intrigues, Caucasian temperament, cheerful music, funny and very touching kind story about how love and worldly wisdom wins.
